Great Power You Have

Poe should have gone with a Ben Kenobi approach, seeing as how they are both ghostly teachers. Plus Yoda was always a little too cryptic with the knowledge. You’d think he would just get to the point in a situation as dire as the rebels vs. the Empire. Why must all the great teachers talk in riddles and vague metaphors?

Teachers talk in riddles because it makes them sound smarter. “To be genius is to be misunderstood” is the mindset. The more confusing you are the smarter you seem. Just with Yoda you fought back the urge to punch in the face if not for the whole telekinesis/Jedi powers.

And he’s so little… It would be like beating up a toddler. Plus, punching a puppet would look utterly ridiculous. ;) . Thanks for reading and taking time to comment! Welcome!

I don’t think anyone cares, but this page made me laugh :D

I don’t think anyone cares about this either, but one of my favorite musicians, Voltaire, wrote a song, an ode to Edgar Allan Poe – Graveyard Picnic. Check it out if you want :)

I care! I care! ;)

I’ll look up that song, it sounds interesting.

Um, this is kinda random, but I have to ask. What made you pick Edgar Allan Poe to be Tripp’s spirit guide? :D

I wanted someone historical that I could take a bit of a different slant with. Poe was perfect… He’s known for being this sort of creepy, dour guy but I wanted to make him light-hearted with a good sense of humor and a real pal.

masters like yoda talk in riddles because deciphering their teachings is part of the training. it helps train the intellect for the have to use their brains to understand their teachers and their patience when they resist the urge to punch their teacher in the schnoz.
