The X-Ray

Coco went and got her head scan and other than the probable confusion of the doctor she was told that the chip can’t be removed. Hopefully nothing will come of it. (Yeah, right. :) ) So, is Proxy going to have to keep Tripp away from Coco completely? That would suck, especially right before Valentine’s Day. Proxy does have a point, though… What if Coco is the next one to try and take out Tripp?

There’s a Japanese Kanji symbol that i forget the exact meaning of now, it’s been a long time since I studied Japanese. Chaos, war or something similar, anyway it’s composed of two symbols for woman under the symbol for roof (ie 2 women under one roof). I have the feeling Tripp is about to learn the truth of that first hand.

heh, so I’m intrigued by the idea that two women under a roof is “trouble” but it appears that while you could make a pictogram as that, it doesn’t so much exist in Chinese writing… but I’d bet Poe could come up with a philosophical saying like: one woman under a roof [^an] is tranquil while two women under a roof [f^an] is trouble ;)

from: http://www.friesian.com/yinyang.htm about halfway down under categories of Chinese Characters #3 Compound Indicative or Logical Aggregates:

essentially one woman is peacful, more than that, not so much…

especially when one has a chip in her head that makes her eyes glow red. OTOH, who would you want to save the most? when your options are to save or kill her, you end up with one big ‘ol space opera… double or nothin’.
suck to be Tripp.

This is my first time commenting, but I really like your comic. :)

As for the kanji symbol, I took a few years of Japanese, and I’ve never heard of it. (That doesn’t mean that it doesn’t exist though.) There are two kanji I do know that have the woman kanji in it that I find humorous.

http://www.thecardladies.com/images/Kwoman.gif <- That's the kanji for woman.

http://japaneselanguageculturefood.com/graphics/kanji3/285-japanese-language-kyouyou-kanji-cheap.jpg <- That's the kanji for cheap. My mnemonic for this one was if you keep women under the roof, it will be cheap.

http://www.jp41.com/kanji/noisy.html <- The third one down, with three women kanji, means noisy. haha… I think that one is pretty obvious. xD
