I just love the idea of the Kentucky Gentleman.  Having your subconscious manifested into a person you can talk to or get advice from would be nice.  What if, however, you had no say in how that manifestation came about?  That’s what Tripp is dealing with.

This strip also enabled me to cross something off my mental list for the comic.  There are a bunch of things I would like to have show up in the strip just because I’d like the opportunity to draw it, like the dragon in Tripp’s daydream strip or the arena on Narva.  One of those things was a horse.  Mission accomplished.
