I really enjoyed doing this strip. I love how candid the relationship is between The Kentucky Gentleman and Tripp. Your subconscious shouldn’t need a bedside manner. The last two panels were both ideas I had going pretty far back. I almost drew Coco as an angel back when she was first introduced but decided to save it for later, when it made more sense to juxtapose that with some not-so-angelic behavior. That cowboy silhouette almost got used in the first Kentucky Gentleman strip but I wanted to establish him with some actual face shots in the first strip and use the silhouette once the character was a known quantity.
