Good news, Trippsters. It’s official, as of today, I will be tabling at my first convention in November at the NC Comic Con. Very much looking forward to it! It’s going to be quite a learning experience for me. I’ll have some stuff for sale like my Cautionary Tales book as well as some prints. I’ve been planning to make a Tripp book but I might just wait and do that at the end so it can be in one volume. We’ll see. Perhaps I’ll do some sketching at the show depending on how things are going. I just want to go have fun and meet people. I have little to no expectations other than to have a fun time.

I might set up some sort of secret word for Tripp fans before the show so if you come say it to me at the con, maybe you’ll get a surprise or something.

Proxy: Not scared and smart, too! I don’t know if you can tell from the background, but Coco is a fan of old/classic movies. There was a Casablanca poster in her house a few strips back and this strip has two old movie posters. Attack of the 50 ft Woman is hanging over her bed (heh) and Bunco Squad is on the back wall.

I do have a planned appearance for Tripp’s mom somewhere down the road and it’s a doozy. I’d also like to do a strip about that girl from Target at some point. Maybe that’ll be a bonus strip for the book. Speaking of which, I should be getting InDesign this week so I can start putting together a Tripp book. What kind of stuff do you want to see in it? Work in progress stuff? Pin-ups? Bonus strips? Sound off!

That third panel was a lot of fun to draw. At first, it was just a normal panel with Poe making that offhand suggestion and then it dawned on me… I have a chance to make Poe Godzilla. I have to take it.
